An original and compact Mini Salt Shaker with an inner holed covering over the salt for use during the blessing over the Challah – the braided bread -  on Shabbat.

On Shabbat the braided Challah is dipped in salt symbolizing the salt that was offered together with every sacrifice during the time of the Temple.  In lieu of a sacrificial system our Shabbat dining room table and Challah board become the altar.
